Our terroir

Located in the heart of the Indre-et-Loire region (37) and the Chinon AOC appellation, Vignobles du Paradis has 23 hectares of vines. Spread over 3 vineyards around our winery, our vines are planted on different terroirs that give each wine its own characteristics: sandy terraces, gravelly terraces, clayey-siliceous slopes or clayey-limestone slopes.
A major terroir in Chinon, our vineyards are renowned for the consistent quality of our wines.

Our vines

We use two types of grape variety. The red and rosé wines are made exclusively from Cabernet Franc. The white wines are made from Chenin Blanc.
Vignobles du Paradis is committed on a daily basis to preserving biodiversity through reasoned vine-growing methods, and has been HVE 3 certified since 2020. We use soil conservation agriculture to preserve biodiversity in our vineyards and bring back life and fertility.

Our cellar

Located right in the heart of the vineyard, our modern winery enables us to control all the winemaking, ageing and bottling operations. We give each cuvée its own character by maturing it in stainless steel vats or barrels.
Combining tradition and technology, we offer you the very best of Chinon wines.

Our wines

We are passionate about making generous, fruity red, rosé and white wines from AOP Chinon. Each bottle tells a story, the story of our passion, of our terroir, of the men and women who work together in our vineyards, whatever their differences.

  • Our PREMICES are blended from our terroirs on the banks of the Vienne. These are fresh, light, fruity wines.
  • Our Clos du Pressoir, Clos de la Lysardière and Clos du Paradis cuvées come from specific clos and express the different terroirs of the appellation.
  • A blend of our vines grown on clay-limestone soils, Eden is a living wine! With no added sulphites, this wine evolves as it ages.
  • For the Graal, our exceptional cuvée, our winemakers carefully select plots and grapes to make this a great Chinon wine.

Vignobles du Paradis wines are well-balanced and easy to match, whatever your diet. They’re sure to please and accompany you on all your happy occasions!

Near Tours, on the banks of the River Vienne, the Chinon appellation area covers 2,400 hectares of different terroirs: sandy and gravelly terraces and clayey-siliceous or clayey-limestone slopes.

Responsible

Like the wines of the Loire Valley and the many châteaux that dot this region, which has been royal for so long, the Chinon appellation produces refined, elegant wines, sometimes as powerful as the fortress that proudly dominates the town.

Respectful

Chinon’s red wines are mainly made from Cabernet Franc, and can be laid down or drunk young. When young, they express aromas of red fruit (raspberry and blackcurrant) mixed with notes of violet. As they age, they develop notes of jammy fruit, liquorice and spices.
